The "Three Hats" of Rick Allen
When Rick Allen invited me to join the Light for the Lost and Men’s Ministries team in 2018, I didn’t hesitate—I knew immediately it was the right place to serve.
These years alongside him have been some of the most meaningful and formative of my life. Our national team deeply loves and respects Rick and his wife, Bev. Perhaps the most endearing characteristic of our relationship with Rick has to do with the three “hats” we often ask him to wear: pastor, dad, or boss.
If we come to him with a question or challenge, he simply asks, “Which hat do you need?”
He then dons one of those hats and responds with the heart, clarity, and spiritual discernment that defines who he is. The three hats of Rick Allen aren’t roles he switches between; they are expressions of who he is, and we’re very grateful to God for them.
Rick and Bev have quietly influenced hundreds of ministers across the U.S. Assemblies of God (and the world, for that matter), and their impact on our own team has been immeasurable.
Light for the Lost and Men’s Ministries are blessed to have Rick at the helm—an honorable, thoughtful, and effective leader whose vision keeps us moving forward
with purpose. As we enter 2026, we invite you to journey with us in confidence and resolve. We are anchored by integrity, unity, and seasoned leadership. Our mission is clear, our team is unified, and we believe the future is filled with promise.
Thank you, Lord, for the three hats of Rick Allen.
